Long Brecksville just inherited a much-needed steakhouse for its small but growing restaurant scene. Austin's Wood Fire Grille, 8121 Chippewa Road, spawned from the original on Wilson Mills Road in Mayfield. The new one has a very upscale look with a long bar fronting an open kitchen where steaks and chops are grilled in full view. The food is a cut above the national steakhouse chains. The ribs are very good, steaks were fine and roasted chicken was also very tasty. Austin's was packed as early as 6:30 pm on a recent Saturday night, so reservations are a good idea. Call 440-546-1003. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. The lunch menu is available until 4 p.m., but the dinner menu is available at all hours. Top of Page
